Articles of Faith

Article of Faith #01 -- The Doctrine of the Godhead

We believe in only ONE true and living God, who is revealed to us in Three Persons: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost.

1 John 5:7, 5:20; John 17:3; Deut 4:39, 6:4; Jer 10:10; Isa 45:6, 45:18, 46:9; 1 Cor 8:6; 1 Tim 2:5; Jam 2:19

Article of Faith #02 -- The Doctrine of God's Inspired Word

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the revealed and written Word of God, both inspired and preserved by God, and are the only standard and rule of faith and practice.

2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:19-21, Romans 15:4, Psalm 12:6-7

Article of Faith #03 -- The Doctrine of Original Sin and the Fall of Man

We believe in the doctrine of Original Sin and the fall of man, and how that by one man Adam's transgression, all of Adam's posterity became sinners by nature, totally in a state of condemnation before a Holy God, and come short of God's glory.

Gen 2:16-17; Rom 5:12, 5:18-19; Rom 3:9, 3:19, 3:23; 1 Cor 15:21-22; Psa 51:5; Ecc 7:20; John 3:19

Article of Faith #04 -- The Doctrine of Total Depravity

Because of the doctrine of Original Sin and the fall of man, we believe that man by nature is totally depraved and dead in sins, therefore resulting in the complete impotency and inability of man to recover himself from his fallen and condemned state of sin and death, and that man has neither the free will nor the power within his own nature to redeem himself. This makes man 100% dependent upon God and His grace for eternal salvation and eternal life.

Psa 14:1-3; Psa 53:1-3; 1 Cor 2:14; Rom 3:10-18, 7:14; Eph 2:1-3; Isa 59:2, 63:5, 64:6-7; Jer 17:9; Gen 6:5

Article of Faith #05 -- The Doctrine of Election

We believe in the doctrine of election by grace, according to the foreknowledge of God; and that God chose His people in Christ before the foundation of the world and predestinated them to be conformed to the image of His Son.

Eph 1:4-5; 2 Tim 1:9, 2:19; Rom 8:29-30, 9:11; 1 Pet 1:2; John 6:37, 17:2; Mat 20:23; Psalms 65:4

Article of Faith #06 -- The Doctrine of Justification

We believe that sinners are justified in the sight of God ONLY by the shed blood and imputed righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Rom 3:24-25, 5:8-9, 8:30, 8:33-34; 1 Cor 1:30-31, 6:11; 2 Cor 5:21; Titus 3:4-7; Heb 9:22; 1 Pet 1:18-19

Article of Faith #07 -- The Doctrine of Effectual Calling and Regeneration

We believe that God's elect shall all be effectually called, regenerated, and sanctified by the Holy Spirit, according to God's sovereign purpose and good pleasure, and in His appointed time.

John 3:7-8; 5:25, 6:37, 6:63; Eph 2:1; Gal 4:6; Titus 3:5; 2 Tim 1:9; Rom 1:6-7, 8:28-30; 1 Cor 1:2; Heb 9:15; 1 Pet 1:2, 2:9, 5:10; Col 1:12-13; Jude 1:1

Article of Faith #08 -- The Doctrine of the Preservation of the Saints

We believe that the elect (saints) are preserved in Christ, by the grace and power of God, and that none of them shall fall finally away, neither shall any of them suffer eternal damnation.

Jude 1:1; 1 Thes 5:23; Rom 8:38-39; John 6:37-38, 10:27-29, 17:22-24; Phil 1:6; 1 Pet 1:3-5; Mat 1:21; Isa 49:16; Jer 32:40; Psalm 37:28, 94:14

Article of Faith #09 -- The Doctrine of the Resurrection and General Judgment

We believe in the final resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust, and a general judgment, and that the joys of the righteous will be eternal and the punishment of the wicked everlasting.

John 5:28-29, 6:39-40, 6:44, 6:54, 11:24; Mat 25:31-46; Acts 17:31, 24:15; Heb 6:1-2; 1 Cor 15:42-44; 15:51-55 1 Thes 4:13-18; Phil 3:20-21; Job 19:25-27; Rev 20:12-15
